We recently went back to this place after a few months off. We absolutely adored the old menu and it was changed...not for the better. They still served some of the old food so we decided to take a chance again. Upon the return we found they had gone back to the old menu! We are so pleased and the food was spectacular. I suggest the wood plank salmon. And a good tip for newcomers, ask the bartender for some food advice, he is a down to earth guy who doesn't give the fancy chef inspired talk. He gave us some great suggestions every time we've been there.
Atmosphere
The interior is great for a couple looking for a good night out or a family looking for that old fashion meal. The tiles and floor are great and the fact the party room is in another area keeps the noise down.
Service
The service was amazing. We have had meals at the bar as well as at the tables. There is hardly ever a wait and we have gone at prime weekend time. Our servers have always been friendly and know the food well. The bartender is one of our favorite reasons for coming here. We are not big drinkers but always have to grab at least one at the bar to just have a conversation. He is an old style bartender who really makes the place. He will talk sports, culture, weather and always has a recommendation on a drink. We commented to another couple who were eating at the bar and they said it was why they came in, to hear his banter and enjoy that experience. He is sure to put a smile on your face.
Value
For the amount of food we got and the area we were in this was a good value. The presentation is a bit gaudy and upper west side style, but the prices aren't.
Overall
There isn't much this place can improve on. When you walk in you feel like one of them. Someone they have been waiting for and they are happy to see. We love the food...again, and recommend this to everyone.

Food
The food was top notch. They have a new executive from a French Background, Rachid Kourda. I believe he is known as "The chef with an accent." The food was 5 stars.
Atmosphere
Very nice.
Service
Service was excellent.
Value
Great quality. I guess great value. It was not that cheap but you pay for the good food.
Overall
I will give it a solid 10.

Food
The food was magnificent. I had steak, my wife had pasta and my two kids split a regular pizza. Thus, we had a variety of food at our table and all of it was excellent. It was presented nicely and it tasted great.
Atmosphere
It is a nice clean restaurant with a good setup. It's easy to find because in front several trees have green lights around them. The restaurant is quite big and when you walk in through the second set of wood doors the bar will be on your left hand side. It isn't really big but there are many illuminated glass shelves which house a myriad of liquors. The rest of the restaurant basically consists of tables, however, there is a party room which is great because it contains noise and frees up tables for the other patrons. The lights are dim and the sweet sounds of classical music can be heard in the background. It is truly relaxing.
Service
Our waiter was very friendly and prompt with the service. It took about average time to get our food, and to be seated (10 minutes) and when we went to the bar before being seated the bartender made our drinks quickly, even though it was busy. The table next to us had some trivial complaints and were pretty rude in the manner in which they were complaining, but their waitress handled them with grace. We were never ignored and constantly checked on.
Value
It was worth it. The experience, the quality of the food, the portions, the people. It was very nice. I am not a wealthy man by any means, but at Cafe Toscano I was able to eat food I can afford while still maintaining the eloquence and tradition of an upper class restaurant. Hence, I was treated as though I were special, the food tastes and is displayed like food in high end restaurants, and the atmosphere is jovial and proper at the same time.
Overall
Try it out you won't be disappointed!

Food
After reading the reviews about this place we decided to give this a try. Both people on this site liked it - anyway we went to the one in Massapequa instead of the one they went to in Jericho and had an entirely different experience. Perhaps because we went to a different location. The food was nothing to write home about. It wasn't bad, but it was far from fabulous.
Atmosphere
The decor was nice. It was clean and not overly noisy. We got a table on a Saturday night relatively quickly (10 minutes.)
Service
The waiter we had didn't really know about how anything was prepared. Every time we asked any question, he didn't know and had to find out. Even asking about a wine recommendation his response was that they are all good. We wound up in a conversation with the people sitting next to us because they weren't happy with their service at all.
Value
The prices weren't bad. Typical Italian restaurant ranging from $15-$27.
Overall
Nothing special is all I can say. The service is what really brings it down for me, so therefore I would not return.
