Food |
| I won't beat around the bush here. Of all steakhouses I've been to, the Porterhouse steak at Tellers was the best. This includes Morton's, Pace's, Vintage, Ruth's Chris, etc. The steak was so good I can't even remember how good the other things we ordered were. |

 |
Atmosphere |
| The name Tellers comes from the fact that this building used to be a bank. It's a very unique atmosphere for a steakhouse. Very tall ceilings. It's cool. |

Service |
| OK, this is a particular gripe about a particular incident, so take this in stride. We ordered a bottle of wine as soon as we sat down, the appetizers came first, then the salads and we were told eventually by the server that they were searching the cellar for the wine. It never came. We eventually got the steak before getting our glass of Merlot. They finally offered to give us a different wine, after we were halfway finished with the steak. We informed a manager, who was very apologetic about the situation and gave us complimentary dessert and dinner drinks. |

Value |
| Steakhouses are expensive. A Porterhouse for two should cost between $60-$75. Teller's is $78. Although it was the best I've ever had, I wasn't in NYC so I can't say the value is superb. |

Overall |
| When people bring up the best steaks they've ever had, I talk about Teller's Porterhouse. I think anyone would say the same. |
